  • Disable USB, CD Rom and Floppy using Group Policy

    Hi,

I am applying a group policy to Disable USB CD Rom and Floppy and using a
code provided Microsoft KB article 555324.
My Domain Controller is running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
This article is asking to import the code using .adm file in Administrative
Templates, after importing this file to Administrative Templates in Group
Policy a new Container is appearing with the name of Custom Policy Settings.
I have blocked USB, CD Rom and Floppy from this policy settings, but Computer under that OU on which I have applied this policy are still able to access CD Rom and USB.

Do have any idea whats happening there.

        Make sure:

"Disable USB" is enabled, if you will disable it then the USB will get enabled.
