  • AD Domain over two subnets

I have a server running Win2003 with two NICs having two different IP ranges. I am wondering if it is possible to set up ADS on this server (Make it only domain controller of new domain and forest) so that computers on both networks will be able to see it and join the domain?

Do you have RRAS configured on this server ?

      technicly yes...

technicly, that is possible, allthough you should setup the DHCP (if you use one) very carefully.

tried to do it once for learning purposes (in another context) and it worked fine (i had 2 network cards that one of them was for connecting to a LAN which was connected to the internet and not for DC purposes, but it still worked).

i say try... and if you encounter any problems.... we are here to help
