  • Passwords & Migration

Migrating from NT4 PDC to windows 2003 server AD.

If I don't migrate the passwords, and instead setup new passwords
will this cause any problems ?

No user has implimented encryption, so I should be good on that issue.

    thanks,
    Darryl

What are you using to migrate your users?
Technology is only as good as those who use it

That's fine. No end-user impact but will be increased admin overhead as you will have to communicate the passwords to the users.

        Regards,
Not necessarily. Set password to Password1 (it meets the complexity requirements) and then have it set so the user has to change password at first logon. You only have to let everyone know Password1 is the default password.
