  • Dcdiag results - Don't look good

    Hello all,

    I am having a few problems with one of our sites DC's

    Our setup is as follows.

    3 windows 2000 advance servers with sp4 all three are domain controllers.

    In the eventlog there are a number of replication errors. I am not very advanced on Ad so I am unsure of where to start with the trouble shooting.

    So far I have ran dcdiag and have got the following results which are a little worrying. Users can still be created and they logon ok but something isn't right.

    Here is the DC dcdiag of one of the servers:

    C:\>dcdiag

    The three roles are on the following servers.

    RID = Server1
    PDC=Server2
    Infrastructure=Server3

    Thanks

      Re: Dcdiag results - Don't look good

      What about the Domain Naming master and Schema master?

      Have you renamed any DC?
      Any failed DCs that were removed?
      You're getting kcc errors. Have you checked to see if replication is working OK?
      Have you checked the event log for errors?
      When did this problem start?

      I'm just trying to think through this a bit. There's probably others with more experience that could be of more help.

        Thanks for the reply!

        None of them have been renamed that I am aware off. Replication seems to work but one server one has two NTDS Settings in sites and services and one is to itself.

        I think its server one that is causing the issues. I am going to have a look at the weekend at some tools etc.

        Cheers
