  • DSAccess LDAP search times>100ms

    Hello,
I have a MOM alert which says: Excessive MOM DSAccess:LDAP Search Time > 100
ms avg. over 5 minutes warnings.
It looks like long LDAP search and read times are potentially affecting the
    performance of XCHG servers.
On further investigation of the XCHG srvs, I have determined that LDAP
search and read times regularly are well above the Microsoft recommended best
practice maximum value of 100ms and many times exceed 1000ms in duration.
Additionally the average LDAP search and read times exceed the Microsoft
recommended best practice average value of 50ms for long periods of time.
I have GC installed on every site with XCHG srv.
    Any ideas/clues?
    Grazie,
    E.

Do you have custom recipient policies configured that are using LDAP filter that is not using indexed attributes ?
Any chance you can post those LDAP filters ?

Also take a look at the following article: http://www.activedir.org/article.aspx?aid=97
It should help you to find those queries that are taking too long.
