  • How to revert the password policy in a domain

    Hello
I have defined the password policy for my domain users, later on
the second day I revert it back.

I have also checked the GPT template the policy does not exsit there
and still u can change your password

But i am still receiving phone calls from my users that the windows
ask us to change the password

Please any one can tell me how to get rid of this problem

Moved from Scripting forum to Active Directory

More appropriate location for suitable response

Can you give us an idea of the size of your domain -- it sounds like replication issues?

      Please provide more details:

      - what were the changes to the password policy ?
      - to what settings has the GPO been reverted ?
      - how many DCs are there ?
      - have the clients been rebooted after the GPO was reverted ?

password policy is not reverting in GPO

Well We have only one DC
I have changed the password policy as follow
Minimum Password policy set to 0 days
Maximum password age set to 30 days

after that i have restarted DC, the policy was applied
later on i changes it to the following
        Undefiend Minimum Password policy
        Undefined Maximum password age

but it seems it is not working
users are still geting messages that the password will
expire in 12 days or so

Please help me if you can

        Regards
        Naveed
