  • exchange 2000 with Active directory installing 2nd AD

Hello all anyoen who can help please advice,

I am currently running a single server, Exchang 2000
I have it installed with AD and DHCP.

I have just gotten a second server up and running and am
trying to add AD to it so that can be second domain controller
However when trying to run the AD install I am getting an error
saying that the Domain Controller does not exist or can not be found

From what I can tell the Exchange server is the domain controller and only domain controller. It is behind a NAT.

Any suggestions on what may be the problem please suggest.

Join the new server to the domain as a member server first, then run DCPromo on it.

Make sure you use a domain admin account to do it.
