  • Disable WinXP Games

    Is there any way to disable Windows XP games via Group Policy? I have been asked to remove the games from a large number of computers within our domain.

    maybe hide it...
    replace the following line in the %windir%\inf\sysoc.inf:
    Code:
    Games=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,games.inf,,7
    into

    Code:
    Games=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,games.inf,HIDE,7

      Computer configuration-->File Settings

      Add the games executables and adjust the ACL on the files so that they will not have access to the files.

      The other option (works only for XP clients as far as I know) is to use Software Restrictions in the GPO.
