  • Double-Take Availability for clustering

    Hello all,

I'm wondering if anyone ever tried using "Double-Take Availability" for SQL data replication? I'm trying to replicate data between two SQL 2014 STD servers using high-availability, with no load balancing and no shared storage.

From what I can tell, it can be done using this third party product but I'm a bit nervous using a 3rd party software to manage the SQL data replication..

Just wondering of anyone else had good/bad experience with this product?

I'm unable to post url links, but if you search in youtube for "Double-Take Availability Demo - SQL Protection" you should be able to see how it works.

I've used DoubleTake for Exchange and SQL Server, though it was several years ago and not with any of the current DT products, so I can't speak to those.

I can tell you that the DT version we used at the time worked as advertised.
