  • help! - Upgrade SQL 2005 to SQL 2008

I am trying to upgrade sql 2005 to sql 2008.

    The OS is 2003 R2 64-bit
When I use the 32-bit upgrade it can see the insance but then gives me an architect mismatch

When I use the 64-bit upgrade it does not give me the option to upgrade the sql insance.

What steps should I take to trouble shoot or does someone know how to resolve this?

    Thanks.

What is the SQL 2005 architecture and version?
    Ditto 2008?
Are you on a supported upgrade path?
