  • simple question: need to run SELECT @@VERSION

    Hello,
I need to check SQL version info. Found that SELECT @@VERSION will show the info.
Where I have to run this command. Sure not CMD...

      Ossian,
      unfortunately have to ask again

I opened Management Studio, connected to the instance...
Run a new query but not get any output.
      What I am doing wrong?

      Thx.

Re: simple question: need to run SELECT @@VERSION

I don't have SQL Server in front of me but roughly:
        Launch SSMS
Connect to the correct Database Instance
Find and click the "New Query" button on the toolbar
Type in your command and click the execute button
(You may need to change the database context to master for it to work)
