We have SQL Server 2008 installed with various databases configured. The databases run our telecoms dialler and were set up by an external third party who still occasionally need access to them.
We now want to add a HR database onto the server. Obviously as this DB will hold highly confidential data & we donít want people accessing the data in there unless they are authorised to do so. This needs to be off limits to the third party completely.
I have had a look through the server roles and there is a group set up which is for the third party & this appears in every role. So my question is can anyone tell me what roles o disallow the third party access to in order to restrict them access to the HR database.
