  • installing sql 2008 r2 trail ver. after sql 2008 trail

    Hello,
My sql server 2008 trail version has ended ( 180 days ).
I need it for another 30 days ( information system analysis course )
Can I install R2 trail version ( after uninstalling the previous trail version ) ? Will it work ?

Thanks and sorry for the weird question.

Re: installing sql 2008 r2 trail ver. after sql 2008 trail

This is probably one you should ask Microsoft
If not, you could always create a virtual machine and install the trial version on that, but this is all against the spirit of trial versions which are to allow you to assess the suitability of a product then buy it.

If it is for non commercial use, you could subscribe to MSDN or Technet and get full versions there.

Also you have an option of SQL Express plus the management tools which may be suitable for your course
