  • Wrong size for a table

Having a weird problem on SQL Server 2008.
A particular table is showing a size of about 11GB by means of queries like sp_spaceused.
The fact is this table simply cannot be that size.
There just one column that can have significant size, but an ad hoc query shows a different result (i.e. about 2.5GB)

    Code:
    SELECT SUM(DATALENGTH (column))/1024
    AS 'Sum column_size (MB)'
    FROM table
Of course I've ran the query against all the columns of the table, but the other columns are just a few MB.
So, where are the remaining 8.5GB inside that table?
    Thanks in advance
