  • Outlook 2003 funtionality after xp upgrade

I upgraded a windows 2000 pro machine to xp pro on our domain. Under the administrator account, everything (office) works fine. Under the user's account, it fails to start outlook claiming a registry error. If I change the user's permission to administrator, it works just fine. It does not work under power user or restricted user. I reinstalled office in case the registry was corrupt, but that didn't correct the problem. Any ideas?

Not as an answer to your question, but as a general tip - would you date someone who was "upgraded" from male to female? (or the other way around, if that's your taste...)

Do not ever never use upgrades on operating systems and other server systems, not unless you value your mental health.

Oh, and use the right forum next time.
