  • I receive The same EMAIL TWICE each time

    Hi all

    since the last week i see in my emails INBOX each mail twice.
    every time i use send//reciev mails pops up in my list twice.

    im having around 200 mails every day. now it is twice bigger around 400 aday.
    can any one help and fast plz??


    im using outlook 2002 with exchange server , on server 2003
    this problem goes for any mail server. within the exchange and from out mailer like pop3 mails.

    Check the following:
    1. No rules should be there for inbox
    2. check whether more than one outlook instance (outlook.exe) is running.

      thnx for your help but its not it.

      i checked for any rulz none were created
      and no double threads of outlook.exe are running.

      do you know about any update that can fix it??

        Are you using two e-mail addresses with the same POP3 incoming and same SMTP outgoing server.
        If this is case disable one account
        And also check whether Outlook is updated with latest SP, if not install.

          yes there is two different account with the same incomming server

          ill check if that is the problem.

          but any way. why outlook is not performing a naming check to see if
          an email that is added already exist..

            The reason outlook downloads the mails twice because both the accounts point to the same POP3 server.

            This is the defect in the product.

              Hi,

              If you still need help heres what you do.

              tools- email options - email accounts then view or change exsiting email account if you recieve the same message twice you should have to email addresses in there both identical or one with (1) at the end, delete the second one and apply.


              You will now recieve one message only
