How to troubleshoot Outlook 2003 Junk folder?
Many messages sent to my gmail account are moved without any visible flag to Junk folder.

Messages are short like the one:

Teile on saadetud lisainfo päring Kuldsest Börsist:

    tere
aga kui kaua umbes aku vastu peab ja kas muu kõik töötab ilusti??

    aitäh.

    Kuulutust näeb aadressil:

Or is there anything offencive in header?

    Thanks?

Turn down the Junk mail settings?

Not speaking fluent estonian, can you tell us what the short messages say in English and we may be able to give clues why they are being junked

      1. Yes, as final solution is - Junk filter must be disabled. But absence of any info which could make a sense, why these are sent to junk folder, doesn't let me sleep well

      2. Translation and usually messages are similar

      Information request from trading portal:

Hello, how long the batteries last? Thanks!

advertisment is located at ... url.

      -------

      3. PS now there is another message from same sender in Junk folder:

kas postiga ka saadate muidu ja kas laadia saab ka ikka kaasa

      ---mail.ee reklaam---
Kui sul pole vaja, siis ära vaata
Kui sul ON vaja, siis vaata Link Removed

Translation: Do you send by post? Does it comes with loader?

      ---mail.ee advertisment ---

If you don't want, don't look
If you want, the look at Link Removed

Re: Many Gmail account messages sent to Junk folder

Given the content, I can see why they are being treated as spam.

You can turn filtering to about 4 levels from off to full on

Please remove both live links in your post above before someone accuses YOU of being a spammer here!

Is there something wrong with my thread?

But I appreciate your time and moderator already removed links Thanks!
But reason of rejecting messages can't be the link itself, because the link from the most often rejected message is always to the same locally accepted advetising portal site. And only 1 of 2 similar messages is moved to Junk folder.
          What else there is?

How to understand "You can turn filtering to about 4 levels from off to full on"
Means that to turn to the highest level???

          Thanks!

Re: Many Gmail account messages sent to Junk folder

Sounds like the host of mail.ee puts advertisements on their outgoing emails. You can always whitelist those accounts (or mail.ee itself) in GMail and in Outlook.

Also, the higher you turn the spam filter the MORE it will filter.

              1. Yes I think so and therefore I didn't understand Ossian suggestion to turn full on.
              2. Outlook offers whitelisting a domain but not local Email account, that's the problem - all messages are coming from different domains. And usually there isn't such a link mail.ee at all but just one www . kuldneborss. ee/item number. And only every second message is moved to Junk folder.

              3. In mail header there is no flag of spam and therefore Outlok behavior is not undestandable.

Please be more precise but yet I haven't understand where the problem is.

              TIA

Re: Many Gmail account messages sent to Junk folder

Outlook has multiple levels of spam filtering. Experiment to see which level gives you the best results.

Alternatively switch to MS Exchange and spam filtering you control

So the answer is that anyone doesn't know why?
                  And only solution is experimenting.

Re: Many Gmail account messages sent to Junk folder

The messages are being moved because their content triggers the spam filter when it is enabled. It therefore makes sense to look at the settings to see which one has least impact on you.

The settings range from no filtering (everything gets through) to block everything except specically allowed senders. You will find something in between that suits you but we cannot tell you what is right for YOU
