  • Outlook as a service

    how can i start the Outlook Automatic when i start the computer as a service in the background.

    right now to get mail i must run the outlook and minimize it to the taskbar.

    can i minimize it to system tray or make him run as background ?

    You can't run Outlook as a service and I don't believe you'd want that anyway. Services aren't ment to be interactive, they're usually 1 trick ponies too.

    You can minimize Outlook 2003 to the tray on startup, I do that personally.

    Older versions can do it too but require a 3rd party app to make it possible.

    Outlook 2003

    Put a shortcut to it in the startup group. Right click it and goto the properties. Change the run property to minimized. Then...
    Right click the tray icon and select hide when minimized. Now when you run it you'll only see the tray icon.

    Use this program to minimize to tray with older versions.
