  • Conencting via RPC using 2003 negotiating authentication

    Hi

I am trying to connect a single user to email using RPC he has outlook 2003... when i connect using a sample machione with outlook 2007 it works perfectly but when connecting using another machine using 2003 it fails stating that the computer isn't connected (which it is)... I have tried on several computers and works with 2007 and fails with 2003

The only difference i can see between the two configs is i don't have the Negotiating Authetication option in the security tab in 2003.

Has any got any tips to help me get this user connected on 2003

    what fundamental am i missing?

    Thanks in advance
    Benjapos

Which authentication method is selected in the Outlook 2003 client? If I'm not mistaken there's Basic, NTLM, and possibly Kerberos. Have you tried each one?
