  • Moving emails to a colleague's deleted items folder

    Hi,
I've access to a colleague's mailbox (xp/2003) inbox, subfolders etc. When I drag an email from a subfolder of their inbox to their deleted items the email ends up in my deleted items and not theirs. Why does this happen and how can I set it so that when I move emails to their deleted items they stay there?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kenneth.

This is standard behaviour in Outlook
You are deleting, so they are your deleted items
    I don't think there is a workaround

Re: Moving emails to a colleague's deleted items folder

On a side note: if you're deleting them why does it matter which Deleted Items folder they go to. The Deleted Items folder should not be used as a "storage location", it's a garbage can. If you want them to go to the other user's Deleted Items folder and you want the other user to keep these deleted items, then don't delete them. create a new folder in their mailbox and move them there.
