  • Outlook 2003: Auto-Reply Items Not in Sent Items Folder

In Outlook 2003, for an account called DMCA-agent , I've set up the following rule for testing purposes:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
    from Robert R.
have server reply using [No Subject]

"No Subject" replies with a pre-defined message.

The rule works, and I get the message with the proper subject and text to my Gmail account (see below).

However, nothing shows up in the "Sent Items" folder for DMCA-agent; neither in Outlook nor OWA.

This will make auditing the replies difficult for the end user. Is there something I'm overlooking, or is this normal behavior for messages replied to with an Outlook rule?

Server is Exchange 2003 Enterprise running on Windows 2003 Standard Edition.

    Thanks.

By this email, the University acknowledges receipt of the
above-referenced complaint regarding allegedly infringing activity on
    its networks.

The University will conduct an investigation of this complaint. Where we
are able to identify user(s) associated with an allegedly infringing IP
address, we will (after providing the user(s) a chance to explain or
contest the complaint) inform the user(s) that both law and campus
policy prohibit unauthorized downloading and that individuals who
violate these rules are subject to suspension of network privileges and
    to campus judicial process.

I think this is normal behaviour.

Let me try and double check that though.

How about adding the folder as a recipient for the autoreply so you can see message + reply together?
