  • Public Folders calender

When using a public folder calender, if you set up a meeting, not only does it not tally the replies but it wont remind you when the meeting is due. As we want to use the public folders calender as a group meeting tool, isn't this a bit naff! and shortsighted of Microsoft.

    Or am i missing something..

Not really, when setting up a meeting Invite all people, and copy in the group calendar. The entry will get posted into the local calendar along with the group calendar and as such you will get the reminders.

      Thanks Topper
I thought about that one, i assume you would need to mail enable the public folder calender first, i just wanted to keep personal meetings in my personal calender and group meetings separate in the public folder calender. it gets a bit cluttered with every meeting in the one calender.

        Topper

Been playing round with this, if you send the invite to the public folder it just appears as a email message, the details of the meeting stay in my private calender. Any way around this?
