  • Outlook signature location

    Hi there,
I have a client that has a very unusual problem with his signatures.
She has created a signature and saved it fine.
Works fine when she hits new, forward and reply to html mails.
Problem arises when she replies to old text (non html) format mails.
    Her old signature appears.
I cant for the love of me find where that old signature is hiding.

It's definitely the old one, not the new one formatted as plain text?
    cheers

      Hi,

You don't say which version of Office your client is using.
I am using Outlook '07 which has the ability to use a different signature for new/replied to. Could this be the problem?

If not, perhaps you could try and delete the sig from the folder. I think it is within the docsandsetttings\username\applicationdata\office\o utlook

No, as the OP said it only happens when replying to NON-HTML emails. Replying to HTML emails works fine, therefore he has a sig for replies.

Go to this folder on their machine:
          %userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures

In there you will find the THREE signatures files that make up ONE signature. There is a .rtf, .htm, and .txt file. One of them is out of sync.
