  • Outlook 2003 - Spelling Problem

Hi, I am having trouble with outlook 2003 with regards to the spell check.

When an email is replied to it always changes the spelling to American but when a new email is created it is UK English, that I need it to be.

I have reinstalled and double checked all setting, does anyone know why it would change?

Go to Tools, Options and click on the Spelling tab.

In there it should be set to English (U.K)

      Hi Thanks for the reply.

Sorry I should have made it a bit more clear.

Teh lanuage is set correctly in everyplace it should be. It only changes the spelling to American US when I reply to emails.

      Thanks

              Hi Wullieb,

Yes all languages are set to English UK in the OS and all apps.

I am also having this problem.

Running Outlook 2003 SP3. New emails are correctly spell checked in English. When replying the default language is English U.S.

if i find the answer I'll let you know.

Edit: Just noticed this is only occurring on emails that are sent in HTML. if I reply to an email sent in plain text the correct English UK Dictionary works.
