  • Won't Save Incoming Mail Server

I am running Outlook 2003 and it will not save my Incoming Mail Server (POP3). As long as I have Outlook open it works but as soon as I log out and then go back in my Incoming Mail Server reverts back to 127.0.0.1.

I've tried deleting my old account and starting over but the same thing happens again. Any suggestions?

Try renaming your profile with your admin acount and then logging back on so you get a fresh XP profile and then try it again

Re: Won't Save Incoming Mail Server

I have seen similar when the setup Profile is copied into the Default User AFTER Outlook had been setup. Have a look where the PST file is located and if necessary create a new one under your Profile and if necessary move the old one to the new location. (Assuming that is the problem)

If neither suggestion works, then more info about your setup would help.
