Hi I have a couple of question regarding the address book in outlook.

    1) If you look at the attached screen grab you will notice many categories under the default Outlook Address Book. I have removed these form my contacts but they still appear under the menu. How do I remove them ?

    2) You will notice that the administrator appears here along with the account backupsvcacc, how can I remove them from the addressbook.

    Thanks for the help

    Re: Outlook Address

To remove the accounts you will need to check a box in the users profile in ADUC.

Open the relevant user in ADUC.
    Click on Exchange Advanced.
Check the box Hide from Exchange Address Lists
Allow time for RUS to update.

Voila the user accounts are gone.

One word of warning though. If you are using Backup Exec and using the account backupsvcacc to run the job then it will fail.

Not quite sure what you mean.

RUS(Recipient Update Service) updates the address books.

            Never saw this.

What you will find is that when you download the Address book these changes should be made.

it was a laptop user but it never removed any address books although it added them fine.
