  • Is there any way to STOP Outlook modifying my HTML?!

    I put a simple HTML signature file together, and used it as a template for my Email Signature in Outlook 2003. When I edit it now, Outlook has put LOADS of gobblede-sh!te into it that isn't necessary and causes my signature to behave very oddly when you delete extra line breaks, or move the cursor over the signature (it actually moves around all on it's own!!).

    Is there any registry key or file where Outlook decides what to add to your HTML that I could clear out so that it leaves it alone?

    Here is what *I* wanted as my signature:

    Code:
    <br><br>
    <table width="500" border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 style="background: #FFF; font: 8px arial,sans-serif">
    	<tr>
    		<td width="30%" style="border-top: 1px solid #C33; border-left: 1px solid #C33; background: #C33; color: #FFF">
    			<b style="font-size: 12px;">My Name</b><br><span style="font-size: 12px;">My Department</span>
    		</td>

    		<td width="50%" style="border-top: 1px solid #C33; border-left: 1px solid #C33;">
    			<img src="http://www.linkedin.com/img/signature/bg_redfade_195x42.jpg" width=195 height=38 alt="">
    		</td>

    		<td style="border-top: 1px solid #C33; border-right: 1px solid #C33; padding-right: 5px;" align=right>
    			<img src="Company Logo Source Image" width="100" alt="">
    		</td>
    	</tr>

    	<tr>
    		<TD colspan="3">
    			Company Address <b>Company Post Code</b> Desk Phone Number
    		</td>
    	</tr>

    </table>
    And here is what OUTLOOK did to it...

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">

    <TABLE style="BACKGROUND: #fff; FONT: 8px arial,sans-serif" cellSpacing=0
    cellPadding=0 width=500 border=0>
      <TBODY>

        <TD
        style="BORDER-TOP: #c33 1px solid; BACKGROUND: #c33; BORDER-LEFT: #c33 1px solid; COLOR: #fff"
        width="30%"><B style="FONT-SIZE: 12px">My Name</B><BR><SPAN
          style="FONT-SIZE: 12px">My Department</SPAN> </TD>
        <TD style="BORDER-TOP: #c33 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #c33 1px solid"
        width="50%"><IMG height=38 alt=""
          src="http://www.linkedin.com/img/signature/bg_redfade_195x42.jpg"
          width=195> </TD>
        <TD
        style="BORDER-RIGHT: #c33 1px solid; PADDING-RIGHT: 5px; BORDER-TOP: #c33 1px solid"
        align=right><IMG alt="" src="Company Logo File" width=100> </TD></TR>
      <TR>
        <TD colSpan=3><FONT size=1>Company address <B>Company Post Code</B> Desk phone number</FONT>
