  • Reply to domain it was sent to?

So I already have a domain that email addresses send and receive from.
I have added another domain name for a user to accept incoming mail from.

they can receive the mail when sent to the 2 different domains.
    They can also reply.

How can I make it so that whatever domain the email was coming into is replied from?

    example:

    email: [email protected]
    email new: [email protected]

a user "info" can receive emails to both email addresses above.
But when the user replies to a message, I want the user to reply coming from the domain that the email was sent to
if it was sent to "newdomain.com", I want the reply coming from "newdomain.com"
if it was sent to "olddomain.com", I want the reply coming from "olddomain.com"

currently by default it is "olddomain.com"

I am using Exchange Server 2007

    thank you

Unfortunately that's not the way Exchange is designed - it can receive from multiple email addresses, but will only send from one "primary" address - the behaviour you are seeing.

There are lots of hits about this, with some solutions that may or may not work, depending on a lot of things:

The only sure way is to give the recipient multiple mailboxes and reply from the appropriate one
