  • exchange 2013 unable to send or recieve emails

Windows 2012 DC and Exchange 2013 Std.
    typical exchange install no problem
OWA, RCP over HTTP connectivity is test to be working.
im able to connect with outlook 2010

I have setup exchange to receive multi domains so right now I have
companyname.local and which is the default domain
I have setup the SMTP on user so the .com is the default SMTP

upon sending email from outlook the email is place in the sent box but never reach the other side.
when using owa email is going to draft the minute you click send. this behavior happen on both internal and external email addresses.

I have try to telent from remote location im able to telnet on 587 but not on 25 I have checked my firewall and 25 and 587 is open, I also disable the firewall on the DC which did not help, when telnet internally I was able to connect with 587 and 25.

I have read some blogs and articals but non of the suggestion helped. this is a fresh install of windows 2012 and exchange.
Any advice will be welcome, Thank you

Did you use Exchange 2013 CU3 for the install?

OK just in case someone need help it took me 3 days but finally IT IS WORKING.

Here is what work for me hopefully it will help

Check you DNS setting the internal and external use ps
make sure you have the same DNS setting on the internal and external make sure both have same IP and that AdapterGUID is point to your network card ID.

make sure IPV6 on your nic is set to auto (only if you use IPV4)
on IPV4 make sure the DNS point to your server and there is only primary DNS listed.
      Edit your Host file
      yourserverip ServerName
      yourserverip ServerName.local

on EAC check the following on your receive connectors
      1. Sign in to the ECA by using the administrator account.
      2. Click mail flow.
      3. Click receive connectors.
      4. In the Select server box, select the remote Exchange server that the email message should be sent to.Note To determine the correct Exchange server, review the send protocol logs from the server that the email message is stuck in.
      5. Select the receive connector and then click Edit.Note Typically, the receive connector is the Default server_name receive connector for the remote Exchange server
      6. Click security, under Authentication, make sure that Exchange Server Authentication check box is selected.
if you are behind pix firewall make sure to run the following
      no fixup protocol SMTP 25

      Good Luck
