  • Add second Exchange server 2010 to domain, for different email domain.

    Hello, I’ve a multi-site domain “xyz.local”.
On site 1 I’ve one Exchange Server for the email domain “site1.com”.
I’ve the need to deploy a second Exchange server one site 2 for the email domain “site2.com”
Do I install the new Exchange server like it was the first one on the local domain, or is there requirements to achieve this scenario?

    Thank’s

Exchange operates at the Forest level.
Therefore if this is a single forest, then just install Exchange in to the second site as normal.

Do ensure that you have AD Sites and Services setup correctly.
I would also use the same MX record for both domains, but configure a unique host name for the second location. That second location can then be listed in the MX records as well.

    Simon.
