  • Exchange 2007 Performance Problem.

    Hi,
My organization has about 120 mail boxes.
Last month we decided to replace our old exchange server (2008 R2 + Exchange 2007) with a new and powerfull server (also 2008 R2 + Exchange 2007).
Whenever i shotdown the old one(without uninstalling the rolls) the new server is
experiencing performance issues like high rpc operations which is causing some of our clients delays (in outlook).
If i turn the old server back on the problem goes away.
    I checked every configuration twice.
I dont what could be the cause.
    HELP PLEASE!

    Thanks

    Re: Exchange 2007 Performance Problem.

Have you moved everything to the second server? Public folders etc?
If you don't want the second server then you should remove it using add/remove programs. I don't subscribe to the theory of shutting down the server to see what breaks, because things will break purely because of the way Exchange works.

Add/remove programs remove Exchange will also tell you if there is anything blocking the removal of that server.

    Simon.
