    We have Exchange 2010 SP2 and rollup 5-v2, on windows 2008 R2 SP1 server.
    Users are on Windows 7 x64 SP1 running office 2007 SP3.

    Recently we have noticed that the OAB details for the users in the GAL are missing, only email addresses are shown.

    The GAL itself looks fine, its just the OAB.

    We have generated a new OAB, same issue.

    Change the logging level on OAB generation and no errors.

    Google fu has brought up OAB errors but none that are similar to this. help!

    Seems the issue was resolved with a new OAB, it took all night for it to be picked up by the outlook clients - exchange cache?

      Normal Exchange behaviour is OAB generated every 24 hours and pulled by clients every 24 hours, so (worst case) is 48 hours before changes are picked up

        The OAB was generated and the mail store configured to use the new OAB but the clients kept downloading the old one. We could eventually see this behaviour using the test e-mail auto-configuration tool, the OAB URL was pointing to the old OAB GUID.

        Despite using a new pc and setting up a new test user, the old OAB was downloaded. so thats why I assumed it was caching the information somewhere and took a while to filter through.
