  • Exchange 2012 - Public Folders only for externall users

    Hi,

    There is department with 2 users. Their 'Delivery Options' in exchange mailbox properties have been set up to forward the emails to both the forwarding address and mailbox. The forwarding address is an email enable public folder.

    The pubic folder works great with external emails.

    i want to configure it so my internal users won't be able to send in this public folder BUT without receiving NDR.

    The Properties of the public folder are those:

    1. Default -> Author
    2. Anonymous ->Contributor
    3. user a & b -> (the users of the department)
    4. Administrator ->owner

    If i change the 'Default' to none, my internal users get an NDR message.

    Any ideas?
    thanks

    I don't think it is possible to stop users sending email without an NDR being returned to them.
    You can stop the users, as you have found, or you can allow them.

    Simon.
