  • Read Receipts resent from one user

    Hi,

I have a strange issue with our Exchange 2007 (on SBS 200. One of our user's account has resent a few hundred read receipts without any obvious reason twice in the last few days.

The user has Outlook 2010 and connects via MAPI in the office, Outlook Anywhere outside the office and also has an Android smartphone which connects via ActiveSync.

I understand that once a read receipt has been sent (or the user declines to send a read receipt) that it isn't possible to deliberately re-send. This resending hasn't happened from any other user account.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
    S.

Something has touched the messages. The mobile device is the usual suspect, but it coudl be a plugin or something in Outlook.

Thanks. Not sure if it makes any difference to your thoughts, but it wasn't a few hundred read reciepts from the same single email. It was as if every message in the mailbox that had asked for a read receipt got resent. This happened twice (on two separate), thankfully it hasn't happened again.

Makes no change to what I have suggested.
As it is just one user with the issue, I suspect they have been doing something and don't want to admit it.
