  • Can I reset passwords in Exchange 2010 ECP?

I have been playing around in 2010 ECP and have added active directory through RBAC help desk. Added administrator, but i dont see any fature to reset passwords through the ECP.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it just not possible?

ECP is mainly Exchange functionality. The password of the account is AD.

You would think calling one of the RBAC delegation options in help desk in ECP "active directory" , would mean they would think of adding a password reset feature.

It would have to be one of the most requested and needed functionalities of a portal like that.

Having that sort of delegation ability through a portal like that, would really mean offloading some admin overheads.

The ECP doesn't have that function. Although users can reset passwords themself from OWA. And i believe that role is called 'Active Directory Permissions'. Which only refers to ACLs and permissions related to Exchange.
