  • Exchange 2007 Import To Exchange 2010?

    Hiya,

So a new client's SBS 2008 server has competely died, raw data has been recovered including Exchange 2007 DB and a new SBS 2011 server is on order. Problem is I'm a little unsure if i'm able to import the exchange database, both private and public folders.

If I set SBS/Exchange up with all the users am I able to mount the old database and migrate everything over?

    Many thanks

    Dave

i don;t think you can import like the way you described...
the user can recover from their PST file if there is any? or maybe look in some tool to convert OST to PST...

A recovery database will only work for mailboxes, not public folders.
How much is documented? If possible, building a temporary SBS2008 system and using the same names for the server, company name etc as the original installation might get you to a place where you can mount both database files, and then extract the data.
