    Exchange 2007 SP2
    Win2k8 SP2
    Win2k3 domain

it's almost a month now after i move all my Exchange 2007 services (one server) from mailA server to mailB server. everything is working fine now.

question now arises. the old mail server, mailA, is still showing in EMC and the domain still knows about it. should i remove the info of old server mailA knowing that i will be reformatting and reinstalling Exchange 2007 on that same physical server for DR purposes.

by remove i mean from AD and anything/everything that still references it. btw, all Exchange services have been stopped on that old mail server since the move.

You should do a clean UNINSTALL of mailA -- that will remove it correctly from AD without resorting to ADSIEdit

The only supported way to remove Exchange is to use Add/Remove programs. The uninstaller will also check that you have moved everything.
