Re: cannot run installation - E2010 (log file included)

Download the Exchange 2010 SP1 files again, looks like you might have a corrupt copy. Get it from the public site rather than Technet/Volume/MSDN etc.

      Simon.
I did download again from different site.
Exactly the same problem and log is the same...
May be you can provide a link to download location.

Server is absolutely clean and patched. For me it looks to like bad source file.

      Thanks.
      Michael.

Re: cannot run installation - E2010 (log file included)

I tried to download e2010 from 3 different locations. The same 522MB file.
And the same problem as discribed in initial post.
          Clean 2008 r2 sp1... NO IDEAS...
I am sure I used my first file a year ago when tested migration from 2003 to 2010.
Now, I tried more than 5 files and no luck.
I have an empty window on setup page with next button. CAN see the license agreement. Accept it. Then MS Exchange Server 2010 initializing box. And again Install option...
Can somebody provide the working file for download...

          Thanks.

            Have you rebuilt the machine?
Is there anything else on the machine at all? I have installed Exchange 2010 SP1 numerous times using the download link provided above without any issues, so it has to be something about the environment you are installing in to.

Is there any legacy exchange server in the present domain?

Apologies, it has been a long day.

Why don't we try command line install (each step), we might get some information which could lead us to the resolution even if it fails.

                    jedi,
                    I like your idea. Thanks.
So I used your link as a reference.
Everything run 100% success for Organisation installation.

Then, I run install from GUI (step 4). And met exactly the same problem as mentioned in initial post. Blank option window on setup screen.

I tried quickly CMD from the article but probably messed with a syntax.
Can somebody help what should be the exact syntax.

                    Below is from the article:

Now that we created the Exchange Organization we can install a server using command line, using the following syntax:
Setup /Mode:Install /Roles:<Possible values are: Mailbox, HubTransport, ClientAccess, UnifiedMessaging, EdgeTransport, and/or ManagementTools>

                    I typed:
Setup /Mode:Install /Roles:<Possible values are: Mailbox, HubTransport, ClientAccess, ManagementTools

                    and it not works.
Run setup /? it 's a bit messy looks like should be .install

PLS help with this and we can see where it fails.

                        sure.
                        I will read it tomorrow.

I would like to ask anyway if somebody can place working installation file on some online storage and file sharing or ftp. Today 522MB is not so big

Like first posters I have a feeling that it is really source file corruption.
