    Re: send only account

A clue which version of Exchange, please?
In Exchange 2010 SP1 you could go into the EMC, user properties, Mail Flow Settings and then change message delivery restrictions to block all incoming mail

At the properties of the email account you can configure who is able to send to this account. Go to "Mail Flow Settings" --> "Message Delivery Restrictions", activate "Accept messages from" and specify who would be able to send to this account.

In addition you can hide the account from the Global Adress List so no one would see it in the address book. To restrict incoming mail from the internet you can change the SMTP address to a internal address only with a domain like @*.local which isn't reachable fromt he internet.

Although if you send email to external recipients with a .local extension it will almost certainly get flagged as spam.

A transport rule would be the best option for this task anyway, as it will allow you put a custom NDR in which rejects the email but provides guidance on who to contact.
