    Re: Exchange Management Console Initialization Failed

    is this a new installation?
    if not, did it ever work?
    if so, when did the problem start?
    Think back to what happened before hand, and review your change database
    Consider what changes were made, and how they might impact.

    Following that process, then, apply some research. Once you come back and tell me what changes were made or patches were installed, and what research you've done, what you've already tried in an effort to resolve the issue, I'll be able to provide more assistance.

              Re: Exchange Management Console Initialization Failed

              For comparison, here is the same section from a working Exchange 2010 SP1 on 2008R2 installation:
              <system.webServer>
              <httpProtocol>
              <customHeaders>
              <add name="X-UA-Compatible" value="IE=EmulateIE7" />
              </customHeaders>
              </httpProtocol>

              <!-- OWA HTTP Modules -->
              <modules>
              <add type="Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Core.OwaModul e, Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa" name="OwaModule" />
              <add name="exppw" />
              </modules>
              <handlers>
              <add verb="POST,GET" path="*.owa" type="Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Core.OwaEvent HandlerFactory, Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa" name="OwaEventHandler" preCondition="managedHandler" />
              <add verb="GET,HEAD" path="attachment.ashx" type="Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Core.Attachme ntHandler, Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa" name="AttachmentHandler" preCondition="managedHandler" />
              <add verb="GET,HEAD" path="*.ics" type="Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Core.HttpHand lerICal, Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa" name="ICalHttpHandler" preCondition="managedHandler" />
              </handlers>
              <security>
              <requestFiltering>
              <requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength="35000000" />
              </requestFiltering>
              </security>
              </system.webServer>
              tbh, I'm not surprised it is broken!
