  • Cannot install update rollup for Exchange 2007 SP3

    Hi,

I can't seem to get the update rollup (Exchange2007-KB2530488-v2-x64-EN.msp) for Exchange 2007 SP3 installed.

When running the file, I get a message from Windows Installer saying that the upgrade patch cannot be installed because the program to be upgraded may be missing.

When I run windows update, I also do not have these updates available, and when I check the Programs and Features list and installed updates list, it shows me Exchange 2007 and some update rollups for SP2, but it doesn't even show me that SP3 is installed.

I did install SP3, the management console tells me that my server is Version 8.3 (build 83.6).

So, it seems that even though SP3 is installed, the server thinks that it is not...

Anyone some ideas on how to get this resolved?

    Thanks a lot, best regards,

    Kris

    Reinstall Service Pack 3.
Run the SP3 installer again. If there are parts that need to be updated, then they will be selected.

    Simon.

      Hi Simon,

When I run the SP3 installer, I can only choose to install the unified messaging role, the other options are grayed out.

Since we do not use this role, it seems not necessary to install it, and if I don't choose the unified messaging role option, I cannot proceed with the installer.

      Greetz,
