  • Send Connector - route email for one email address

    Exchange 2010 SP1 on SBS 2011

The server manages two email domains, domain1.com and domain2.com

a user that sends from domain2.com sends out a mailshot, however their external mail filtering service blocks this, as it determines it to be spamming

We need to create another connector to route via DNS for one specific user

Is this possible and would anyone have any guidance on creating this?

    Thanks

Sender based routing is not available natively in Exchange. There are third party tools that can do it for you.

Personally though, bulk emailing should be either outsourced, or run through a dedicated package with its own IP address. Exchange is a very poor bulk emailing tool, can't report, can deal with rejects, unsubscribes etc on its own.
