Help.. Can some assist in locating the failure?

I think I am having a communication issue between EX2003 as SMTP incoming and its delivery to EX2010 Receive Connector. Some Emails appear to hit the 2003 server but then fail as they move to the EX2010 mailbox store.. The recipient ([email protected]) never gets the mail

Re: HELP .. losing incoming messages EX2003->EX2010

That looks OK to me. Look at the third line from the bottom in the log entry for the 2003 to 2010 connection. It says "message queued for delivery". That means the 2010 server has accepted the message.

What's the mxlogic connection in the 2003 to 2010 log. Was that just fat-fingered when you pasted the logs?

Re: HELP .. losing incoming messages EX2003->EX2010

Iv seen something similar to this in an Exchange 2003 server and 2010 SP1 cross forest migration. Emails were being dropped after 5 attempts. And mail was queuing on the Exchange 2010 server with some messages being accepted but the majority being dropped.
I ran this command on the 2010 server: Set-transportconfig -xexch50enabled:$false. Then restarted the Exchange transport service.

Do ensure though that the appropriate receive connector is set to the correct authentication type. It might not harm to simply have anonymous authentication enabled and exchange server authentication unchecked.
