  • Migration testing question

I think I am about ready to start moving settings and mbx's over, but I want to test my 2010 setup before I move anything off of 2003. Is there a best practice way to do this without impacting our current setup?

    Re: Migration testing question

create a new mailbox, with only a small amount of data.
make sure you can move it over
make sure you can move it back!

Now, identify a group of pilot users, including yourself, minor level and management level employees. (yes, I'm a big fan of using critical users to test things!)
    migrate some of them over.
    see how it goes
    get their feedback.
Be prepared to move them back if necessary, but advise that it's likely to take XYZ hours to get it back over.

I would go even simpler than the posting above and simply say - move your own mailbox. If you aren't confident about moving your own mailbox on to the platform, then why inflict it on users.
