  • Replacing single 2010 server

I have a small single 2008R2 domain with single exchange 2010 box. I want to replace the hardware for the exchange box. I am not concerned about keeping the same hostname. Would the best way be to build the new exchange server, add it to the organization and then remove the original box. There are only about 20 users currently in the domain, or is there a better approach?

    Re: Replacing single 2010 server

    Hi,

Add additional exchange server, move mailboxes to the new server, move cas urls, rehost send/receive connectors, offline oab, etc and then demote the first box
    Thanks & Regards
