  • Exchange 2007 send error

    Hello,

    Our client receives this error when sending mail to a certain recipient:

    Recipient adress#<gw-eur3.philips.com #5.7.1 SMTP; 554 5.7.1 <Sender address>: Sender address rejected: MX or A record sender in reserved network> #SMTP#

    Does anyone know what causes this?

    Kind regards,

    René

    Re: Exchange 2007 send error

    Looks like a anti spam configuration that blocks the connection from the sender.

    Might be a configured reverse lookup or something like this. If you are sure that the sending side is configured correct the only thing you can do is to contact the administrators of the receiving side.

      5.7.1 usually occurs due to permission issues, whether this issue happening for 1 single user or from a particular domain ?

      did u try sending mail from other domain ?

      Best Regards

        Re: Exchange 2007 send error

        I just remembered something
        The default domainname has changed from a .nl domain to a .com domain.
        The FQDN for he mailserver has not changed, can this cause the problem?

        @Ajoy

        Hi, thanks for your response. It has happend for 1 single user, I have only sent an e-mail from 1 domain.

        @FischFra
        Thanx for your answer
