  • Securing Outlook Anywhere for remote office usage

    Hi All,

I'm about to enable and use Outlook anywhere for my remote office branch, Is there anything that I can do to make it more secure ?

At the moment we do have SSL certificate (SAN - Subject Alternative Name) with the subject as follows:
autodiscover.domain.com ---> shall I use this for the external or choose new ?
    exchangeserver-vm1
    exchangeserver-vm1.domain.com
    activesync.domain.com

    Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't use autodiscover, but the actual host name doesn't matter. You just need to ensure that whatever host name you put in to the Outlook Anywhere configuration resolves to the correct place and is in the SSL certificate. What is the common name of the certificate? That is what is usually used.

    Simon.
