  • Installation of new Exchange 2010 and 2007 Coexistence Errors

    Hello,

I am currently running Exchange Server 2007 SP1 in my AD site. I have done all

the forest and domain preps for a new installation of Exchange Server 2010.

When the installation starts I get the warning that coexistence of my new

Exchange 2010 and my existing Exchange 2007 SP1 cannot be achieved.

Should I do an in-place upgrade of my SP1 to SP2? And how do I achieve this?.

    Thank you.

    YEs -- SP2 is needed http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../dd638158.aspx
    Or just go for SP3....

SP installation is basically a reinstall of Exchanve -- just download the SP3 media from Microsoft and run it -- assume a couple of hours downtime in the process

If you have multiple servers, there is a specific order to do it in -- check recent posts by Sembee for the details
