    We recently deployed exchange 2007 in small environment,right know we use
    email for internal only,our company has already has website,can our DNS domain is used to connect with our website to add host record and MX Record,it possible what are the procedure.

    Domain - mydomain.com

    Website name- mydomain.com

    what you need to do is create another host record, let's say:

    mail.domain.com
    this host record should be registered in public dns, to your external facing IP Address

    you also need to register an MX type record in DNS
    the MX record should have a priority weight of 10, and refer to the mail.domain.com A Record we created above.

    make sure on your public facing router, you allow traffic on port 25, and forward it to port 25 on your exchange server.


    if you;re not sure on the exacytt procedure to add the appropriate dns records, talk to whoever hosts your dns zone
