  • OWA Issues - Please Help!

    Hi,
I had a problem with OWA so I uninstalled IIS, reinstalled IIS, unintstalled CAS, reinstalled CAS according to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320202.

    Tried the following:
    get-owavirtualdirectory -server server_name -DomainController dc_name | ? {$_.OwaVersion -eq "Exchange2003or2000"} | remove-owavirtualdirectory -DomainController dc_name
    new-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion "Exchange2003or2000" -VirtualDirectoryType "Mailboxes" -DomainController dc_name
    new-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion "Exchange2003or2000" -VirtualDirectoryType "Exadmin" -DomainController dc_name
    new-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion "Exchange2003or2000" -VirtualDirectoryType "PublicFolders" -DomainController dc_name
    new-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion "Exchange2003or2000" -VirtualDirectoryType "exchweb" -DomainController dc_name

All were successful except the exchweb option which errored with the following:

New-OwaVirtualDirectory : '<SERVERNAME>' does not have the right Exchange Serve
r version or role required to support this operation.
    At line:1 char:24
    + new-OwaVirtualDirectory <<<< -OwaVersion "Exchange2003or2000" -VirtualDirect
oryType "exchweb" -DomainController <DC SVR NAME>
    + CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: (PCAE-Server7.pcae.brookst:Ser
    verIdParameter) [New-OwaVirtualDirectory], ServerRoleOperationException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : DE71044F,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemCon
    figurationTasks.NewOwaVirtualDirectory

Can someone give me some guidance as to what I might have missed please?
Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

Re: OWA Issues - Please Help!

Well that's strange! Re going through the processes I noticed the CAS had actually failed its installation even though it did install and said it passed (Weird)

Any way a reinstall of CAS again has now recitified this issue.
Next up - relinking the external URL (Happy Days!)
